Androscoggin Head Start
and Child Care
Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care currently provides CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) for over 50 Home Child Care Businesses, as well as 13 Centers; for a total of more than 750 children. The CACFP reimburses Home Child Care Providers for the nutritious meals and snacks that they server to the children in their care. If you are a current Licensed or Registered Home Child Care Provider or are thinking about opening a Child Care Business in your home, you can enroll in the CACFP and be sponsored by Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care.
All Home Child Care Providers receive either Tier 1 or Tier 2 rates of reimbursement based on their school district, census area, household income or families' incomes.

When you are ready to join, or if you would just like to know more, Carla is available to arrange a convenient time to stop by your home to provide more information, show you examples of our easy-to-read paperwork and offer training and support. She will explain the simple system utilized by over 50 providers.
