Program Options and Costs

 

All of our programs emphasize physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and educational development.  Children receive medical and dental screenings, as well as both child and family learning about proper nutrition.

 

Pre-School (Part Day, Part Year)

  • Ages 3 to 5

  • Free to eligible families

Pre-School & Child Care (Full Day, Full Year)

  • Ages 3 to 5

  • Parent/guardian must be employed or attending educational/job training

  • Fees are low and are based on monthly gross income

Early Head Start (Full Day, Full Year)

  • Ages 6 weeks to 3

  • Parent/guardian must be employed or attending educational/job training

  • Fees are low and are based on monthly gross income

 

Home Based and Early Home Based

  • Birth to age 5, and pregnant women

  • Free to eligible families

  • Home Based Family Educators meet weekly with the family

  • Parents and children participate in group socialization time twice monthly in a Head Start classroom

   

Pre-K collaboration with the Lewiston School Department

(Part Day, Part Year)

  • Age 4 (child can not turn 5 before October 15 of current year)

  • Free to eligible families

   

Family Child Care (Full Day, Full Year)

  • Subsidized care offered by licensed child care providers

  • Ages 6 weeks to age 5

  • Parent/guardian must be employed or attending educational/job training

  • Fees are low and are based on monthly gross income

 

 

 

Child and Adult Care Food Program

  • The Child and Adult Care Food Program is a U.S.D.A. funded program designed to help Family Childcare Homes provide nutritious meals and snacks to children 12 years of age and under.  For more information, please call (207) 795-4040.
