Head Start is a program for children and their families, providing pre-school and child care services, education, nutrition, and support.  Head Start succeeds in promoting school readiness in children and self sufficiency for families through:

  • Health services

  • Social services

  • Nutritious meals

  • Parent and family involvement

  • Services for children with special needs

  • Early childhood education

  • Literacy and language development
